Dishing Out Colors – Inspired by the Sunset

I always found it fun matching different colors and creating specific moods using a wide variety of hues. Being a designer, I am always challenged to create new color schemes that would match a specific mood a client desires and given a vast amount of colors to choose from, it can be a difficult task.

While I was on a break this weekend, I thought of creating color schemes that I can use anytime a need arises. It saves up time and effort and I thought that it would be a good idea to be prepared with color schemes on hand anytime you need it. So far, I’m pretty happy with the ones I have created and I’m still inspired to do more.

This is a first of a series of color schemes that I will be creating. The first inspiration that came into my mind was the sunset. Generally, I think sunsets are lovely and relaxing to the viewer’s eyes. It depicts a balance between warmness and coldness, the transition from light to dark gives sunsets a glow that is not too bright to the eyes.

These are just a few of what I have already started. The complete series are on my Color Schemes page.
