Hot Star

Spending weekends eating on restaurants you haven’t tried are the best way to cap off the busy week. My friend and I have been eyeing on trying out Hot Star for quite some time now and we finally had the time to try it out last Saturday since they have opened a new branch near our place.

Hot Star Large Fried Chicken is the #1 chicken shop in Taiwan. They are well-known because of their marinated XXL fried chicken fillet. They have branches in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, and now the Philippines.

We ordered the Original Large Fried Chicken (Php 135) and Bbq Large Fried Chicken (Php 160). The only difference between the two is the bbq sauce smothered over the chicken fillet. Their serving was huge! The taste though was not as special as I thought it would be. It was just okay. Maybe I have this thing with fried/breaded stuff because I don’t usually appreciate the differences with these dishes. Although I must say, it’s value for money was worth it. Plus, I think that 1 serving is already good for sharing. We had a hard time finishing our meals.

Address: 2nd Flr., Spark Place, P. Tuazon Blvd. cor. 10th Ave., Quezon City

Store Hours: 10am-10pm (daily)

Budget: Php 150-500

Hard time finishing your meals! That must be a large portion size!?! I’m still yet to try this fried chicken that looks so big that I probably won’t even finish! Haha. Great post 🙂

Yes, it was a large portion size!! Too large for us to finish even on an empty stomach. Haha. Hey, they have stores there in Australia, hope you could post about it when you try it out. 🙂

I hope so too! It’d be an hour drive to get to the place because it’s in the city but hopefully it’ll be well worth the trip when we’re in the city again 🙂
